Crofton Lake
CADCAC offers it's members unrivalled fishing within easy reach of the North & West of Cumbria.
With it's easy access from both the A595 (West Coast trunk road) & the A596 as well as it's ample parking Crofton Lake is a much sought after fishing venue.
As well as it's superb fishing, Crofton Lake is also a mecca for the local wildlife, which includes amongst others, Roe Deer, Badgers, Foxes, Birds of all varieties, as well as numerous Birds of Prey. Therefore here at Crofton Lake there is always something new to see.
The lake is situated just outside Thursby near Carlisle in the old Crofton Estate. More Info
Bassenthwaite Lake
This large lake is regarded principally as a pike fishery although it also contains a good head of roach together with perch and eels. Trout are undoubtedly present but rarely targeted, although some salmon fishing does take place at the outflow by Ouse Bridge.

Day tickets for the rivers Eden and Caldew are available from Carlisle Tourist Information Centre.

Talkin Tarn Country Park
Day permits can be purchased on arrival.
The fishing is for pike and perch. All fish must be returned to the tarn and no keep nets are allowed. More Info

Naworth Fishery is located on the Naworth Castle Estate, just outside the small town of Brampton in the North of Cumbria near to the Scottish Border. More Info
Whins Pond
The area around Penrith is not blessed with many coarse fisheries which means that Whins Pond is a very popular venue for pleasure, match and specimen hunter alike.
The fishery comprises a large scenic lake split into two sections by a net. The coarse section covers about 8 acres and has 30 pegs and is well stocked with tench, bream, carp and roach.The fish grow to good size with bream recorded at 14lb and carp to 20lb+. More Info
